a creepy glitch

Post by Kalashnikova »

one day, when i was travelling down the road to caldera i was confronted by an imperial gaurd. of course i made short work of him, but now, everytime im on my way back from caldera i see an imperial gaurd(or what looks like one) standing by the side of the road staring at me from a distance. he never moves, just stares, and then he vanishes.
i know this is just a glitch, but it does kind of freak me out at times. of all the people ive killed, it seems like this ones back to haunt me.

spooky, no?

does anyone else have any ghost stories about morrowind?

you kind of missed the point, but we wont go there today alright kiddies!
Anyway, the imperial gaurd isnt hostile, and i cant attack him with anything because he isnt really there. he kind of acts like my conscience sometimes. you know... THE ONE THAT CAME BACK TO REMIND ME OF MY SINS ooooooo spoooky! But it kind of makes me wonder if it REALLY is a glitch, or if my computer knows my murderous ways. ooooooo spoooky! again. goodbye and goodnight. i expect to hear from you when i turn my computer on tomorrow morning.

No, i didn't miss your point... I was making what i like to call a *joke* :O Because the whole subject of this this thread seemed kind of funny to begin with... A Ghost of an Npc haunting your character? I guess i should have taken it seriously and replied: "OMG! THAT IS SOOOOOOOooooooooo CREEPY"

But in all fairness that has never happened to me in morrowind and i probably would be surprised to. It happened in Vice City a couple times and i tried to shoot the ghosts there but it didnt work.

@Jester

Once you get a death warrant the thieves guild cant take it away so guards will always attack you... I suggest turning into a Vampire because every one already hates you :D

Chained completely together
With never a false word,
Weal and woe, wish and real,
Woven each together
From first kiss to last breath
First and last whispered in love

spooky  I've never heard of that happening before. It's never happened to me. Kinda freaky, once you think about it.
I wanted to change my sig, but I can't think of anything to change it to :(

Sounds very strange. I'm trying to think of when something like that has happened to me, I know something odd happened once, but I don't think it was that. I'll edit the post if I remember.

Sorry if i was rude, but im not totally serious on this subject either, i mean come on guys do you really believe that i would think my computer was "alive" and a pissed off imperial was haunting me? well... i said some crazy **** before (pancake omeletes in the toaster) but most of its LSD induced (im kidding once again) im going nowhere with this arent i? Anyway what im trying to say is, all this thread was about was some creepy glitch that made me think of my computer sins(and maybe shed a fraction of a tear)

so once again im sorry to be an *******. and Blake, my poor misguided child,I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you cant shoot a ghost.
(not inane criticism)

Not to be the devil's advocate, but I seriously wonder about the authenticity behind this thread. Take no offense, Kalashnikova, but as a teacher I see a lot of kids just make something up for a hell of telling a story, and I'm wondering if this is the case here.

To back myself up I went into the Construction Set and tried to spawn in a Legionist with zero movement (like the ghosts at the Cavern of the Incarnate). I managed to do so, and upon killing him that was the end of it. Why he would respawn or "vanish", I have no idea. It may be possible (as I'm only mediocre with the manipulation of the Construction Set), but I couldn't even intentionally code this action, so I'm wondering flat-out how.

Please don't take this as an insult to you as I may be wrong and you are right, but I just can't see why this would happen. :)

well... I was talking about Vice city and ghost stories from the real world, but im sure you CAN kill Morrowind ghosts with silver arrows and bolts. The imperial gaurd wasnt exactly a ghost though, he was a glitch. so once again i hate to be the bearer of bad news but....you've proven nothing. (once again, not trying to be mean)

And by the way aqua chan, I admire your detective skills(for lack of better words). however, im not making this up, it is a real glitch and hes not transparent. whenever i pass through the cell and it loads, he vanishes. it was kind of creepy, so i decided to put a story behind it that actually seemed semi-coherent. for the most part you were right, but still you neeever know.......oooooooooo spoooky (here we go again) scream eek ahhhh boooooo pow? *rattling chains* scream scream ooooooooooo, thats enough for tonight! you said you were a teacher eh? well what subject do you teach? what grade? if you teach language ill pay you to correct my shot -to-hell grammar.

AC, I'm a teacher as well and I teach kids that are seriously messed up, brainwave-wise. I probably should be the one teaching Kalash, with him making up weirdo stories and whatnot. Still, I would like your professional input. I'm thinking desperate cry for attention... social status issues... high levels of frustration (hence the kalashnikov-reference)... what's your professional assessment? :p

Personal cry for what? who cares if im ****ed up in the head!? at least i put some livelyness into this forum with my so called "mental disorder". im perfectly content in life, i dont need to be liked nor do i care what my social status is. AND AS FOR GUNS! I love guns, and admire their sheer power and influence on the history of humanity (especially vintage guns), not because im obsessed with Murder. Dont get me wrong though, i have many other interests as well. now heres the point:I believe that there is no fixed way for a human being to be, what you call a lunatic crying for help, is what i call a free, happy man flying away from the hive mind of society. not a rebel, not a priest, just someone who isnt afraid of breaking the norm. I finally got a point through, now i hope that sunk into your heads!

Appreciate the imagination but this thread has gone awry. Use SYM for non-morrowind related discussion.
