Is there a way to bypass a cutscene?

Is there a way to bypass a cutscene?

I'm having a problem with the game crashing when I activate to the cannon in the Fortress that should show the death of Annah (yes, I had Annah in my party so it's supposed to happen). I've tried empting the cache and temp folders but to no avail. I'm running the two disk version. Is there a way I can just set a variable or something and skip this cutscene so I can finish the game? :confused:
