Did I screw up? Please help with repairing Oswald's ship

Post by slipknotpurity »

Ok I've gotten all the items... 2 diamonds, wood, spider silk, thrym extract and iron.

When I take it back to him, there are no dialog options to "fix" it... it keeps saying "I'll come back when I have the stuff to fix it" or whatever.

Now here's my concern. The IRON part.. when I passed yursts body I didn't pick up any of the "broken" weapons or armor, as I've seen it throughout the game, and I didn't think it was anything. Besides the spellbook says weapons and armors are fine, which I have pleny to spare!!

So I've entered the Ice Temple, then I read a walkthrough about using the broken armor from Yurst, problem being, since I've been deep in the ice palace, all the items in the crash site have disappeared, all the stuff that I left laying, including his armor.

Am I doing something wrong here? Any help is appreciated!!

Going from what I remember you need place the item on the table in the room with a whole in the side. then it should allow you dialog with Oswald or just text message you. Note: Oswald will leave after the ship is fixed so finish any busness youj have first. Also I think you need scrap iron and not a real weapon, don't know for sure???
Hope this helps

You have to use broken weapons/armor/miscellaneous items, and put them on the table. If you didn't pick one up from Yurst, the Death Knight is carrying some "Ancient Armor" that also works. If he's vanished too, then you may have to cheat it in with the console.
If he's vanished too, then you may have to cheat it in with the console.
I would suggest using Dale Keeper Two, an editing program, instead. I have read in several places that the game patches can cause conflicts while trying to use the Console. Dale Keeper Two, despite being Beta, works very well and it is quite user-friendly; I have had no problems with it. :)
It can be found here:

For us, we didnt' place the items on a table or anything...we just gathered everything -and at the end of the chapter, a plot character took the stuff from us (initiated from a dialogue with him) and brought it to Oswald. Basically, we just had to collect all the items. :D

You dont have to cheat at all!!!! there is a store room for weapons on lvl2 of the ice tempel, pick up any of the standard items over there and that will do. No magic weapons are allowed so that won't work. To get the dialogue option you need to fist put everyting into the table where you found the book of components. After that talk to oswald and it will be done. Just do this before completing the entire ice tempel or the quest will be lost.
On another note: this quest is not crucial to the game so you can just skip it and lose the xp.
