hmm, I think you just have to look around a bit, and maybe come back later, I also believe there are some in the south-eastern corner of the map, but that may be snow bears.
In my opinion snow bear armor i WAAAAY cooler than the snow wolf armor.
But maybe that's just me
I dont know what either of them look like, thats why I am looking for the pelts

Go to the Airship crash (exactly west of Thirsk) and sleep on the bedroll for 24 hours, and most likely, a snowwolf will interupt you, if it is a snow wolf, kill him and take the pelts the DISPOSE OF HIS BODY! Then go to sleep again and keep doing this and for me, the snow wolfs kept waking me up so I got the pelts really easily. If a snow wolf doen't wake you, then don't panic, just kill it then try again!
The Snow Bear Armour is Med. and the Snow Wolf Armour is Light.
The Snow Wolf/Bear Armour is exactly the same as the normal Wolf/Bear Armour except that the colour is different (mostly white, DUH!), they have higher armour ratings and all the pieces are enchanted with 5% Resist Frost.

Nope, both of the are light, I checked.
