European version?

Post by blade21 »

I have a english version of bg2 and I have a question.

In 'spellhold' there are a few prisoners, when it came to fight Irenicus with the army of madmen, one of the prisoners, a girl (Vivi?) who could shapeshift into anything disappeared. I saw her before we were transported, I remember something like this happening in Fallout 2 where in Klamath text was appearing out of nowhere. Where does Vivi go to? Is she removed from my european version?

Well it is a long time since I've played F2 - but I don't think that there is any connection Image - the text you talk about in F2, could be if you played the Euopean version - because there the kids in the game was removed, but they didn't remove the text so it would seem like the text came out of nothing.

Ah, reminds me of our German, beloved BGZJS, all the "madmen" die in the battle versus Irenicus, so maybe she was removed coz she's a child...Americans don't have much problems with underage violence/death/murder...

Well here in Denmark I think we are much more liberal - but because to the legislating of other countries (Germany, UK and others) some game become censured - and it is pretty annoying - like in F2 where they removed the kids due to the legislating in some countries prohibiting to display doped kids. Fortunally somebody found a way to crack it, so I could play with them.

They are only just discussing implementing the rating system, so a 14 year old kid can't buy a game rated for an 18 year old here in Denmark

In Germany they are already doing that, but who cares, I've got my sources Image
