HELP!
Lavok
cast khelben's warding whipon him ( i think u can find a scroll in the sphere).
summon some pets ,skeletons work really good,
keep atacking him with ranged weapons the best are acid and flame arrow becuase of there extra dammage so his spells wil fail.
cast as many magic missles on him.
or before u talk to him cast invisibilaty or hide in shadows put some of your party members behind him. when he say they have to atack him just before he begins to talk.
That way they attack him directly after he is finished talking and gets a lot of damage before his defense spells trigger.
good luck

Lavok is a tough cookie no matter how you look at it. I was able to defeat fairly easily because of a couple things. First of all, my entire party was hasted. I immeditly sent my fighters in to get a couple quick shots on the dude. I had Jan and Arie in my party. As soon as i could i had them cast breach on Lavok. With his defences down, my fighters waisted him (this tatic is great aginst many mages! Hope that helps some, Good luck.
"Turn off the hose" yelled the neon colored lightbulb to the screw driver as the rain engulfed the toliet seat!

...and when you *do* succeed in subduing him, remember to heal him. His health is slowly declining, so that if you just leave him there, he might die and vanish by the time you succeed in his missions.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

If you want to cheese than stealt in and pickpocket him for a ring of acuity, maybe hit him once then run out of the room for four rounds and then comeback and fight. He has never died on me and when you have done what he wants you get another ring of acuity.
They can be worn together. Perfect for a fighter/mage/thief. This means very many invisibilty spells.

You can't handle the truth!
Lavok is really very simple. Immediatley pause, have a mage cast breach. It will get rid of all his protections. Then send in tanks, unpause, dies in 2-4 rounds. Not sure if it was that easy because of the immunties my beserkers (korgan/pc) got from enrage but I was done within like 20 seconds. Depends on your party. I thought the halfing mage was harder.
