Killed the Orcs attacking Umar Hills, went into the cave and the boy wasnt there?

yes, i killed Madulf, does this mess up my ranger quests? This site said i had to talk to him to get the boy back, but when i went inside, nothing was in there. There is one more quest i have to do involving the witch. Will I get it if I killed Madulf? I thought at least the boy would be inside, but the site said I had to talk to Madulf. What should i do? should i start over just b4 I killed Madulf? or is it all good? thanx ahead of time. sincerly, Jeru da`Damaja

Don't kill Madulf! I have never done the ranger quest, but he is needed to get some cool stuff. Be friendly with him, and he will be cool for your group.

dude i killed him already and have done alot of stuff after that, so i should start over? just b4 i killed him? ps i got that shield for making the arrangment, but went back after and killed him.
