Please help an unwelcome ranger

I have returned to Umar Hills where I am the ranger protector. A little boy asked me to investigate disapearing people and to speak to the Mayor (This sounds much like the quest that sent me to Umar Hills in the first place. I go to speak to the Mayor only to find I am unwelcome. I go to check my cabin and its locked and listed as empty. Now granted I allowed my thief to do some thieving in town, but he was never caught. My rep is 16. Is this part of the quest that I have to clear my name? I like thew subplot of being the protector and I was storing some stuff in the cabin and kinda want it back. Any thoughts on what to do?

did you get the wine and swords for those kids?
if so, you get locked otu of your cabin...

you should be able to clua your way inside the cabin, but i don't know the area code for it.
