Will i lose haer'dalis if...

Post by Melchior »

I just got haer'dalis quickly so I am not very strong. I got the portal gem as well. I rested and HD asked me why it's taking so long to get to the five flagons...but I am not strong enough to face the bad guys in the portal, so if I take longer to gain exp will HD take off before then??

Those battles may not be the easiest, but they're worth it (Phat Lewt(tm)) and good tactics really improve your odds. Maybe just give it a shot anyway? If you save, what can you lose?

I rested numerous times with Haerdalis and Nalia...i lost nalia, but even at 17 days haerdalis didn't leave...his last message was something like this: For the love of god, can we go to the Five Flagons Inn. That was at about 13 days, but he never said anything after that. I got about 4 messages in all from him, so I think i have a pretty good amount of time to become formidable. Note that I got haerdalis at about 2 days into the game, so I had him a considerable amount of time. What do you guys think...you concur...ever heard of haerdalis leaving a party because you took too long in getting to the inn?

Well if you could beat the mage to get him back I don't think it'd be impossible to beat the prison... just prepare a lot of spells.

And make sure you have plenty of summons spells handy. The easiest way to do the prison (and many other areas, for that matter) is by proxy: just summon up your defenders, and maybe send in your best melee type while your spellcasters spread out, lower a boss enemy's resistance, etc.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

K...Thanks for the advice...i think I can gain a level or two before taking that on, so nothing to worry about.
