ToB Dual Re-consideration

Post by ReignsOfPower »

All those of you whom have dualed their Fighter at level 9 will not be able to reach the 31st mage level in which the most powerful spell is achieved. In order to reach level 31 as a mage, you must dual class at level 8.

Do you guys think that the fighter section of a dualed character is weak at this level?

But you have to take into account the spells a f/m can improve him/herself with. ;)

I would rather sacrifice one low level of fighter expierence for one high level of mage expierence. :p

Where are you getting this info?

Last I checked almost all classes could hit lvl 40 at end game.

BIG F---'N diference between lvl 31 and lvl 40. Also if this is the conclusion of this here Bhaal Spawn, I guarantee I load the exp cap remove the second it comes out.

Lvl 13F/31 mage :) thank you very much.

I hate the exp cap only reason I put up with it is because of game balance into future editions. No more editions for this character, no more exp cap for me!!!!!!! :)

Cowboy

You are mistaken.
Not all calsses will reach level 40
The exp. cap is at 8Million

Mages will only be able to reach level 31
Fighters 40
Monk 40
Druid 32
Bard /Theif 40

Now, at level 31 the Mage has used exactly 12500 exp points less than the cap. A level 8 Fighter has gained 12500 exp sooo ..... level 8 is as high as you can go for a level 31 mage as well. ;)

Like I said... Exp cap remover

Think I'll just start again and do a 20lvl berserker then dual to mage and go to lvl infinity :)

If you ain't cheating, you ain't try'n :)

I've heard that they've changed the experience tables so that every class reaches level 40. I believe they did this so that every class has an equal amount of those high level abilities they're adding. Anyways, I agree about the xp cap remover. Maybe I'll play with it on for the first game or two but after that, I'm going to start soloing, and for that there will be no experience cap.

Level 31 is the cap for mages. And Reigns is right, Level 9 dualed class Fighter to mage can only reach level 30 (without installing x-cap remover). Big deal. I'm not changing my character. I think I can live with a 9/30 F/M.

I got all this info from people who have the strat guide and who are posting MAJOR SPOILERS all over the Black Isle Boards.

So What - You Lose one level - I actualy doubt that that one level is going to severly limit you mage especial considering that Bioware have said most parties won't reach the exp cap. you sould have the quest spells well before then or mages are going to be severly limited in TOB

Mages start to recieve special abilities at Level 20 - so you can get 11 of them instead of 12. I think I'll be ok with 11.
