Fallen Planetars, AD&D experts please read
i was going through my 2nd edition monster manual and said nothing of fallen planetars does anyone have stats?
He is back and in 3-d!
Wasn't Trias from Planescape: Torment a fallen planetar? Or was he a fallen Deva. If the latter, the Following stats, taken from the strat. guide, should give you a range of general abilities:
AC: -5
Hit points: 150
THAC0: 9
Number of Attacks [a round]:3
Damage/Attack:
3-18 Slashing
3-18 Fire Damage
Special Attacks: Spells
Special Defenses:
100% Resistance to Gas and Poison
70% Magick Resistance
50% Resistance to cold, acid, and electricity
+2 Weapons needed to hit
XP Value: 20,000
Now, this may look weak, but remember, the Celesital "food chain" is Deva<Planetear<Solar, and in PS:T, things are generally much weaker than in SOA ( at least at the higher levels ). Also, Trias casts up to and including 8th Level spells, all while pounding you with 3 attacks/round.
Well, hope this helps!

Enough said.

Oh, well then to get a fallen planetar, as Trias is a fallen deva, just make those stats a little "better" ( lower THAC0, higher hitpoints, more damage, etc. )

Yeah, but from what I understood, Trias was no ordinary deva, either, though, I agree, the margin would probably be bigger than what I put forward. Actually, alot of monsters form PnP D&D were dumbed down for the black isle crpgs, just look at the pitfiend in SOA. By the time I did the twisted rune ( just before returning the lanthorn ) I was killing the pit fiend the mage summoned in about 2 seconds. In pnp, the pit fiend is supposed to be the most powerful demon ( or devil, I can never remember ). In SOA, I doubt it could take on a Beholder.
