Has anyone figured a way to kill Garth?

Is it possible to kill Garth? In case you haven't met him he's the guy who appears in the thieves guild and systematically swipes out your whole party in about 15 seconds.

I noted that each hit he gave was only 14 Dam but he only needs 1 hit (sometimes 2) to kill anybody.

Actually he really pisses me off. because to be that strong he must be somethimg like a level 200 thief, and it makes my characters seem a bit insignificant.

Why do you want to kill him? He doesn't have any great stuff or xp. Ctrl+y him. There isn't any other way possible. Anyway you'll screw up your game if you kill him.
And he doesn't have to be in melee range to kill a person. I Ctrl+q him, and he killed people without even swinging his sword.

OK, short version of the link above.
(and some improvments if I may say...)

First, equip your mage with scroll og shapeshift and timestop.
Then have a priest cast death ward or a mage protection from magic weapons at your main char. Then piss off someone at the thievs guild and wait for Arkanis Gath to show up.
(You should be finished with all the quests at the thievs guild)
When Arkanis arrives you cast project image, this way you don't loose any scrolls, just a spell. While Arkanis hack and slashes your main character and does NORMAL DAMAGE on him, just cast time stop, shapeshift and transform into a mind flayer, after about three hits he is dead and you is the proud owner of a Shadow-armor +5.

This is the way I killed him and finished the rest of the game with no bugs or other problems.
Warning: I would not have used the CLUA codes as explained above as that would surely fu... up the game.

The reason he's unkillable and kills with one hit is that he has an instant-death sword that kills automatically. It also gives hime -20 ac. Its code is "killsw01", I believe. Kills Firkraag in one hit.

if you use death ward he will not kill you with 1 hit

He is not using killsw01. He is using the short sword of backstabbing but a better one

He has the same protection that imoen has which is why you have to kill him by draining him, intelligence or levels etc.

Actually, later that same evening I happened to side with Bohdi, me being an evil party anyway, and to my shock and extreme pleasure her first quest for me involved killing ARKARNIS GARTH, now he's dead DEAD DEAD. ha hahahahahahahaahhaha.
