Tip on exiting from Underdark
For my first post on this message baord I have a tip thats not really that well known.
I have seen a few posts on this board where people were having trouble finishing the quests needed to get out of the Underdark.
What most people dont know is that they can exit the underdark WITHOUT doing any quests at all. Yup, you read right. Just go to the Kuo-toa dungeon close to the svirfneblin camp and fight your way to the exit. Its as simple as that. I got out of the underdark without even getting the help from Adalon and I didnt set a foot in Ust-nastha.

Well I completed most of the Underdark quests the first few times I went through the game. But I really dont like the Underdark because there arent the freedom to make your own choices and instead a lot of quests are forced upon you. Its just not my cup of tea. But if anyone else likes the Underdark more power to them. But personally I will skip it or at best complete only a few of the quest that I think are worthwhile.

Hmm...I know you can exit the underdark without visiting Ust Natha by being transformed into a drow by Adalon then bribing the gate guards...
However, when I tried to just kill the gate guards, the gate was locked and I couldn't get through. So, I think you either need to kill Adalon for her scroll to open the gate or be in drow form to get past these guards without Adalon's help.

You can only be in such form with aid of Adalon. And you're informed about rules, as well as warned...Originally posted by Nighthawk:

BTW, you can kill guards at that door any time. Most important there is almost no loot, at least wasn't for me. I cleaned all dungeons before visit to Adalon, even before i got the lightstone, though.

I like to do the Dungeons in the Underdark first before visiting the Drow City. Do them first to level yourself up, and then visit Adalon the silver dragon, who will transform you into a drow. Completing the quests inside the drow city should be a breeze for anyone at this stage in the game. After receiving the eggs, go back to Adalon. Kill the silver dragon, and you will get the blood of a silver dragon (for Flesh Armor +5), and you will get a scroll to exit the underdark. Just go to the Kua-Toa Dungeons and you will be able to leave the underdark.
TIAX RULES ALL
I like the underdark because you can do whatever you want with those people in Ust-Natha. Personally I like giving bad replies to the the drow. I love telling the guard at the entrance that I am death hehe.
But back to the topic, when I did what I believe you are saying I also found the door looked. Can you really get out without that scroll or being transformed into a drow?

You can't handle the truth!
