Yeah, you'd think at this level you could swat ole Firkraag like a moth. Anyway, a few tips:

1)Hopefully you have by now some decent dragon-fighting equipment. There's some good stuff elsewhere in Firkraag's dungeon;

2) Since Firkraag doesn't initiate the fight, use the opportunity to set some traps around him, and before you start the fight, spread out your party around him, cast every protection spell you can and don't forget to haste.

3) At this level, you should be able to summon lots of help. Start with low level stuff: Animate dead, monster I and II. Once the fight starts, they die quickly but they'll absorb a lot the dragon's spells. Then summon higher level monsters, anmials, etc.

4) Don't let Firkraag get the initiative by engagin him in dialogue before the fight. Force attack him while his circle is still blue. At this level, you should be able to do some real damage before he turns red.

Good luck!

Of course, the method I described in my previous message is the straight-forward and, IMO, more satisfying way of dispatching the dragon. If you just want to kill him and get it overwith: :D

Get yourself a wand of cloudkill. While still out of the dragon's sight cast Wizard Eye. Apply the wand of cloudkill to the appropriate area. Repeat as needed. ;)

Of course, there is always a question if you have Kevin's Dragon patches. If so, old methods might fail, behavior of the Dragon changes remarkable. So, for one thing, cloudkill or cloudkill wand trick wont work.

My Easy DragonSlaying Guide works well,with all Kevin's patches installed as it doesn't really on cheap/cheesy strats like the out-of sight cloudkill or setting a million traps ;)
