Weird Lookin' Shortsword

Post by lifeishell91 »

Has anyone else found Frostgore? It is a very cool shortsword which looks like the head of a Snow wolf with the blade coming out of its mouth. I have directions to get it but unfortunatly they are not very accurate :(

Go to the N/W of Solstheim and swim in one of the frozen rivers, under the ice you will find the VERY COOL BLADE ;)

This sword is indeed cool, clearer instructions (although not much clearer) follow:

the sword is at the bottom of a pond that is semi-frozen over by the ice. You should go to the shipwreck that you must locate for the raven rock quests and journey in a straight line at the same angle as the ship is pointing (north north east, but follow the ship) the lake is very close to the Mortrag glacier, just south of it.

Value is only 100, but it looks sweet. It has some frost enchantments but I don't remember what exactly, worth checking out if you're in the area, but more as a display piece than anything else.

I prefer not to use it because the handle/head is WAY too big and looks gross !~*BLECH*~! ;)

Ahh, yes, it's a wolf head, isn't it? With a nice big blade sticking out of it's mouth. I don't think I've found ANY legendary items in Solstheim (excusing the wonderful little prizes found in a certain stump) that I look at and go "Wow, now THIS is worth hanging on to!" Know what I mean? They've just all got iddy biddy little enchantments and I haven't seen one with impressive damage on it. Prolly about 40 max.
Though that Thirsk guy DOES have that excellent ice mace... even if it DOES weigh 90 lbs....

Hircine's ring was about the nicest thing i found in slostheim... defenitely a keeper by my standards. norse legends (obviously nords were based off of them) are full of things with bad side effects and curses, splendid power but poeple go mad. obviosuly as they cannot make my npc go mad, they take away the splendid power... blargh. i never really found that many quests on slostheim... were there really alot? apart from the main and colony quests i found maybe 5, if even that many. OH!!! and where is the mead hall of the gods? for the guy whos only semi-made of stone?
