Missing boss in bottom level in cult of the eye

i saved the game right after i picked up the rift piece and placed it in my quick-slot. i fought the boss...easy kill but my little mage chick died ~30hp, go figure. so i reload and the big eyed fool isn't there anymore.

i've done everything expect for going to the surface then going back in.

any suggestions? hints or tricks

Yup it sometimes hapens, it did to me!

Good thing is that ther´s a solution for it. U must go back up and just strike at the leader of the cult.
Doing this will cause The Unseeing eye to appear just otside the leaders room
next to the pit

I had already given my rod away so I had to fight it wo it.
It was still easy

You dont really need the rod. Just use harm or a couple of lower resists and magic missiles. Neways, how come u signed up in October n this is ur first post?

Oh yeah, don´t worry about your mage chick. That Unseeing thing has killed one of my chars every time I have fought it, nothing a little raise dead spell couldn´t mend.

The Unseeing Eyes always cast Finger of Death (Char. die if his current HP is hunder 60). Just use the spell Death Ward on your Mage if you want to save him/her.
