Once you get back to Athkatla from the Underdark, Ribald will have some new items, only accessable if you pay 100 gp in advance. They suck anyway...

You get access to it once you are back from the Underdark.
You'll have to pay 50 gp for that.

Not that it matters... At that point in the game 50/100 gp is nothing. Plus, why would you want to buy anything from that pile of junk anyway? That would have made an awesome shop in BG1, but in BG2, that stuff is just plain worthless.

I think that depends on the classes you have in your party and how early/late in the game you return from the underdark.

Ribald has some wicked scrolls in his stash. He also has the helm of brilliance (Cast sunray :) , fireball, and prismatic spray once per day)

He has Crimson chain, good for barbarians. There is warblade which is cool. It is not useless and besides you probablu have the extra cash to spare by then.

Right, but it can be wielded only by one person.

Hey, you call Shapechange, Freedom and other lvl 9 scrolls worthless? I wonder ... what a party you have?
BTW, cost should depend on rep. If you have 20 it's definitely 50.

I forgot he had spells as well. That's the only good thing...
Alright so it was 50, I wasn't sure. I don't think that cost depends on reputation for some reason. It's not like you're buying anything, you're just giving the dude some money.
