Imprisonment/Freedom Bug

Post by ken_wen »

During my sojourn through the Underdark, I decided to go against the grain and be greedy whilst talking to the mage that goes through the elemental gates. So I'm happily hacking away when the git casts time stop and imprions two of my characters. Not happy at this I kill him even more, am tempted to resurrect him and kill him again, but control my temper, then wonder off to buy freedom from the Duergars. However, when I cast freedom, my characters come back but I have no way of making them join the party! This happens during MP, so I was wondering whether this has hit anyone else?

Yep, happened to me, too.

I had four characters of my own, and whenever they got imprisoned, and freed again, they'd walk up to my main character, say it was fun adventuring, and ... well, they simply walked away, never to return.

With the regular people you pick up in the game itself, you can at least say you don't want them to leave, and they rejoin.

Seems like a bug with imprisonment. Whenever that spell grabs a character, he is forcibly removed from your party ... which is pretty bad in multiplayer.

I hope they change this with a patch, or in the expansion. Right now, I have to make certain my self-made characters do not end up getting imprisoned, or I'll lose them forever.
