How fast is Chain Contingency?

Post by Xyx »

I removed the cap from my SoA to test it, and it seems to cast instantly. Is that just me? Perhaps the result of a bug fix (I believe Kevin Dorner changed some of the "choose upon casting" spells) Manual claims it has Casting Time 1 round.

If it really should be that fast, it practically makes Time Stop redundant. Just cast one in the middle of a battle, set the trigger to See Enemy and load up on whatever you like.

IIRC the casting time apples to when you first cast the spell (chain contingency)and not when the spells that are selected are activated.

Does that answer your question?

Let me rephrase the question: Does it cast as quick and near un-interruptable as Stoneskin?
