Icewind Dale II style..
One question, is there by any chance a download availible that allows you to press Alt on BG2 to display items etc, like there is on Icewind Dale II?
Its just that sometimes i find it hard scouring the whole area for the smallest of boxes or something

If you have Throne of Bhaal, pressing the Tab key works. If not, then you're outta luck
Yes - you'll then be given a choice between SOA or TOB whenever you start up. Note though that once TOB is installed, the TOB CD must be in the drive to start BGII (even for SOA).
That's odd, I always have to have SOA CD 2 on when I start the game. I've made the normal installation.

That is odd ... I'd always heard it HAD to be the TOB CD, and that's what I've always used (without any problems) ... have you tried starting TOB? Maybe SOA CD 2 still works as long as you're just playing SOA ...

It's seems that as soon as I start the game if I have no cd in the drive, it asks for the expansion disk but will also accept the SOA disks. When I choose to play SOA instead of TOB, I have to have CD 2 in the drive.

Well. When I first installed ToB years ago you had to have the ToB CD in to boot the game up, and then put in CD2 when you choose "Play Shadows of Amn". Recently I just reinstalled the game and have just finished playing through SoA, and throughout it I have been able to use just the SoA CD2 to start the game.
Not only have I been able to boot up and play SoA with CD2 but i've just moved on to ToB and killed of Goromir and just realized as I typed this message, I am STILL using SoA CD2.
Anyways, I think one of the patches must of done away with the CD checks thankfully.
PS Now you cant buy SoA by itself, it always comes packaged with ToB, so it essentially is mandatory.
