I set out to see how far one could get in Baldur's Gate with only the PC in your party. My charachter is cleaving his way through Cloakwood now, and I'm having fun, though I'm surprised how few monsters can hit me unless they roll a 20.
Actually, it's disappointingly easy when all the exp and gold goes to a single charachter. My charachter is a level 6/6/7 Human Fighter/Mage/Cleric with 38000gp, a THAC0 of 10, and an AC of -6.
Maybe there'll be more hostiles with THAC0 of 10 in the city of Baldur's Gate.
I think I'll play this through, then see how a party of six Mages fares.

You're right, the exp cap remover is very helpful.
Alas, I don't have ToSC. I have been all over the Sword Coast, though, and I've picked up two of the tomes of permanent attribute increasing. With my magic items equipped, my stats are 18(91)/18/19/18/18/6. That's with no cheating, except that I designed my charachter with the Gauntlets of Dexterity in mind. Then I cast Draw Upon Holy Might and Friends, and it's 20/20/21/18/18/12.
Almost able to bench-press a Buick.
I wonder if I'll ever be able to take out Drizzt. I can summon 28 skeletons, and I have a wand of Monster Summoning. How do you think Drizzt would respond to being beset by a cohort of Gnolls?

Well he handles the first batch unhindered so I don't see how a second batch would do a whole lot. But if your monster horde is large enough to keep him busy, you could probably do away with him via some hefty spellcasting.
