Need Your Help! - Themed Party!

Post by SP101 »

I'm barely trying to roleplay a little in BG2. Last time, I did a "Nature Lovers" party :
Totemic Druid
Minsc
Valygar
Jaheira
Cernd
Jan Jansen (He isnt a real Nature Lover, but he seem to like turnips :) )

It was a party able to beat BG2, but a little weak (No decent mage :( )

Now I'm trying to find another Themed Party (I love the restrictions it bring...)

I've think about :

- A Chivalry Party (Keldorn, Anomen, Mazzy, Valygar & Aerie/Imoen)

- A "small-size" party (Korgan, Mazzy, Jan.... too bad there's not lots of gnomes/halflings/dwarfs like in BG1)

- A sexist party (Males only/Females only) could be funny too<

Do you have other idea? Or maybe give me an advice on one of my ideas!

EDIT : I just tough about a new concept : A "Soul" Swapping between the NPCs.

Korgan could be stuck in Aerie's body, Aerie in Viconia's, etc.

I'm thinking about starting a new game with the following party :

- Gnome Cleric/Illusionist (Like Quayle :D )
- Mazzy Fentan
- Jan Jansen

I'm not really sure about the Protagonist. What class would you take (If Cleric/Illusionist isn't a good choice for you). I only want Halfling's or Gnome's classes.

There's another thread about themed parties nearby.

I've got a UN party (all opposite alignments) on the go which has got stuck because I can't keep Aerie and Korgan in the same group. Might have to go for Mazzy as my LG instead.

You can download the
happy script so that they wont fight.

I just hate that script, even if it can save your life (If you *REALLY* wants Korgan and Aerie, or Edwin and (Lots of people :D ), etc. togheter).

The "vertically challenged" party sounds fun. So you'd have Mazzy and Jan, right? Well, since Mazzy's a warrior, and Jan's a rogue and a wizard, you don't have any priest spells, so I'd definately cover that with your character.

That's what I'll do I think : An Illusionnist/Cleric, because I like to have alot of spells in my party. Or maybe I'll take a Fighter/Cleric as a backup fighter.

Is Fighter/Cleric a Multi-Class or a Dual Class? I can't remember... Isn't Anomen a Fighter/Cleric?

Yes, Anomen is a level (7?) fighter dualed to a cleric level 8 or 9, havent gotten him in a while. Anyway he is dualed.

And to answer your question, fighter cleric is dual or multi, or you can be ranger/cleric. (Dual classes can only happen if it is an allowed multi class.)

Gnomes and Haflings can't be Ranger/Clerics. Only half-elves and humans can.

I'd either play a Gnome Cleric/Illusionist or a straight cleric for that party.

I'd probably recommend a straight cleric, as they can take over the role of "tank" much better than a cleric/illusionist (he'll be wearing armor).

Jan's slow advancement won't be so slow in a 3 person party.
