I want to play Multiplayer! help please

I have been playing for a while now but never played online with anyone. how do i do it?? i dont know what the IPX or TCP/IP Options are....so i basically have no idea how to get into multiplayer with anyone. I could use some help.

Heres what to do.

As I recall TC/IP can be used to create your entire party and play with them like you would with your party in a single player game.Seek help elsewhere if you want to play online.

I have played Multiplayer about three times successfully, all of which were over networked computers. Whenever I've tried via GameSpy or anywhere else it has failed. It seems that very few people have got it to work as everyone I have spoken to about it has had the same problem. Your best bet is to try through Gamespy. Try and find someone in your country and find out what your IP address is, then keep trying and pray to every deity you can think of. Other than that I have absolutely no idea. Good luck though.
