Weapon speed--does it matter with Imp. Haste?

Post by Grandpa »

Does weapon speed matter when you are hasted in respect to number of attacks? Explain to me technically why/if a Celestial Fury +5 (upgrade mod Weapon Speed 0) would be faster than a Foebane +5 (Weapon Speed 3) or a lot faster than an Answerer +4 (ugh, such an awesome weapon with a hugely slow Weapon Speed 9).

Basically, lets say with Improved Haste I can make 5 attacks with any of these weapons. Would the Celestial Fury mack the 5 attempts to hit much quicker then the Foebane, or a lot faster than the Answerer?

Thanks.

weapon speed merely determines who attacks first in combat. So you still get your 5 attacks per round

What about the off-hand weapon speed (when dual wielding)? Is that even considered for initial attack speed or the number of attacks with Improved Haste?

i think that even though the number of attacks are doubled, you still only get one attack with the offhand weapon, all the rest are onhand. very useful :)
