A dying breed.

It appears that there are only two of us left.... Me, and jesterking. Beornica is gone *sniffle sniffle* Are there ne secret "box useres out there? Afraid to admit to it? For our complete lack of Mods??? IN truth, you are the holy ones, like the cathars of Medieval France, the true players in the face of all the heresy :D so.... Roll Call time. Who's on the "box" Who among you has stayed true in the face of adversity. Who here can't afford a new pc!
Mag: Don't remember much at all of last night do you?

Awww, Giles, don't be saaaad. There are plenty of x box users out there, I see 'em around all the time.
And as for me, my brother in law just happened to have a PC he wanted to get rid of (I don't know what's going on with him - he's only 18, and yet he is someohw wise enough to realize that he wastes too much of his life in front of the computer, and needs more time for study and... I don't know... deep meditation perhaps? *sniff sniff* I'm so proud of him!)
Anyway, THAT'S why we now have a PC! And as for having morrowind on it, it comes with the package. Prolly so my husband and I can play at the same time once in a while and shout back and forth to eachother - "hey! You find that vampire cave yet?" "No, you?" And so on, and so forth. I still consider myself a true x boxer. ;)
....And I think lifeishell is one, too, and a couple of others who have simply given up piping up to tell fable that not EVERYBODY is on the PC....
you know what they say about all work and no play...

Don't worry, I am one of you. ;)

I dont see why people find the PC version so much better, btw I am not a PCphobe (unlike some), I mean you can do more but with the PC, but on XBOX you crash less, you don't have to download patches just to keep the game running, and the graphics are slightly better, and anyway, I prefer playing the game for endless hours on my BED, not a chair (also I get to play the game late at night without my parents knowing....hehe :D )

good point; the microsoft-baby xbox does have the capability, from what I understand. I'm also an x-boxer, but I've quieted down a bit after i succumbed to the pressure and got the goty-edition with both expansions... :)

Still want the mods though, and as soon as i get a computer (SOON!) I'll have to get the game for a third time, just so I can play with mods! :)

I know I'll check out this very forum's less generic npc project as the first one!

New PC? I can't even afford to repair my old PC! (I'm actually on my mom's computer because MY computer is currently... uh... fried.) I'm a 'boxer. :D Through and through. Oh yeah... I think mods would ruin the Morrowind experience for me, anyways. Though, I can admit, it would be fun to mess around just a little bit. But like lifeishell said... I like playing for hours on my bed, (not a chair) and I can play Thief: Deadly Shadows for hours into the night without my parents knowing. And I also have my xbox hooked up to my sweet stereo system. So it sounds a pretty pretty good. I love my xbox. His name is Cupid. Halo named it. :) And what a fitting name it is, the God of Love... ::melts:: It's a good thing I don't have a boyfriend, otherwise I'd have to cheat on him. ;)

P.S. I hope I didn't come across as blasphemous, you know, mentioning Thief in this Morrowind forum...

My xbox is called Donut fomr some reason, and my buddy's machine is Mad Katz...
It's weird how they name themselves these fairly cool names!

My friend's xbox's name is Goat. And my other friend's xbox's name is The Big L, (which I find hilarious). And my brother's xbox's name was Stompy, but then some fallen-brother-xboxer stole him. :( So my brother is now... :( ... xboxless. I know, it's horrible. I think my dad is going to buy him a new one, though. My dad cried when he found out it was stolen. Hee hee. (He felt bad for my brother.) But yeah... Zach's also thinking of getting a GameCube. Any GameCubers? Are they nice? I've only played one once, so, I wouldn't really know. The Sims look interesting, though. And I've heard good stuff about that game.
(Sorry to change the subject. I know. I'm bad.)

Haven't crashed since getting my PC upgrade, Morrowind hasn't crashed. There's only one patch; once installed, that's it. And there are at least five mods I can think of that completely redo the textures of the game--two of 'em making it look much better than on either the Xbox or PC vanilla flavors.

For the record, I *do* have an Xbox. It was sent gratis by Microsoft, which mailed 'em to a host of known reviewers over the years. I used it a bit for KotoR, but found the interface too clumsy. Just my POV. :)

I have to agree with fable. With the visual packs and head and body replacers morrowind runs with the best games out there right now. I switched over from KotOR to morrowind and about vommited at the graphics. Luckily i found rhedds site and then that led to a mod downloading spree. Anyway, the thing about you x-boxers it that you get to play fable. =.= Thats the end of it i dont want to hear any complaints.

Well, If you don't have 7 yet, I will add one more, myself of course... I'm getting the game tomorrow... er... isnt that today technically? whatever, ANYWAY I'm getting it in about 10-12 hours, and no, I dont plan on sleeping until I get it, play for 48 hours, and then pass out from lack of food/water in 2 days... ya, sounds like a plan. :D

My wife would take strong exception to anything else. :)

I'll be curious about Fable, but the world of modded Morrowind is simply too amazingly openended and beautiful to drop at the moment.

If you're having a holy x-Box gathering, I'd be your antichrist. I have about 212 PC games, all indexed, using my PS2/Gamecube games as literal coasters :P .
