SO we know some world we can visit, Telos, and Dxun, and somewhere I thought I heard Curoscant, which is cool...but that seems a little strange, seeeing as how Ithought it would be a little dangerous to go there.
Does anybody else remember reading about any other worlds?
also, will there be any place like Yavin IV where you can stock up on uber expensive, uber rare items (I love the word UBER), maybe even contract a Suvam like character to build some items for you if your repair skill sucks?
Does anybody else hope that there will also be a lot more involved in this game...perhaps like other RPG's where it will take considerably more time to complete? With seven worlds, it seems similar to the original...but is it possible that there will be more side quests and more areas you need to explore?

As for new worlds, i'm not bothered but would like to see some worlds mentioned in the films but not seen such as Ord mandell etc.
The side quests in KOTOR were, in my opinion, just right. The thing I diliked about balders gate is that there were just too many little quests to do that it annoyed me that i was not able to do them all and I had loose ends all over the place.

Okay - I have to admit that I'm not very well-wandered in SW lore and legends, but why would it be dangerous to visit Corrusant(spelling?) in SW:KotOR II ??

I was just assuming it'd be under sith control. But it seems I was wrong, I read a little deeper into some other previews and they seem to state that the Sith are still in the business of taking outer rim territorries (whoa, that's definitely spelled wrong...hmmm, I dunno)
Anyway...I'm not all that well verese in the Star Wars Universe either...I would assume that a lrage majority of people aren't...Especially the politics of the Old republic, since it seems that most lore surrounds the later Skywalker story threads...

I think it is mentioned earlier on in the thread that it is unlikely that hoth will be in KOTOR2 since it was barely colonized in the second/fifth movie...what exactly would you do on hoth? and for that matter, what would the sith be doing on hoth?
Perhaps if they had a Knights of the New Republic in which Hoth was more colonized or perhaps a place where you crash land, but it is highly unlikely, since Hoth is such an irrelevant planet even during the movies, Why do you think the rebels chose to put their base there?

Do we have to crash again?! No more crashing, no more unknown worlds, no more tractor beam captures. What if the ebon hawk gets destroyed and you need to get another ship like the ebon turtle or something. A solo mission planet would be cool. Take a one man fighter somewhere and do it all on your own.

I wouldn't want to go to Hoth. Flying the Ebon Turtle would be tight! You come under attack by a Sith cruiser again and your ship can crawl into a shell and... no (funny though that name was). I kind of want to see some extra worlds thrown in just for the fun of it; not dealing with the main quest, but maybe there will be side quests there, but you could have the opportunity to earn credits, experience, or find items that you wouldn't find anywhere else. It could be interesting, but (like Count Zero said about Balder's Gate) they shouldn't overdo it.
I didn't read much about the second game, but the impression I got was that the Republic was near defeat. If that's the case, then Coruscant could very likely be under Sith control. If they're just in the Outer Rim Territories (there you go, alpha) then the Republic wouldn't be so close to defeat, and there probably wouldn't be much point in going to Coruscant anyway.

General: "Those aren't ideas; those are special effects."
Michael Bay: "I don't understand the difference."

Hoth would drag the game too near the films. Needs only mild references to places if you ask me, or at least visit somewhere important.
I would assume Coruscant (however that is spelt) would be one of the last planets to fall under Sith control. They were only just on the outer rim in the last game, and in 5 years and can't imagine they've taken control of the central systems of the republic. Especially with no Star Forge (depending on how you played, of course. Will be interesting to see how they deal with that actually). Would be nice to visit Coruscant - to see the new home of the Jedi Council perhaps?
I would like either of two things, preferably both:
1. Lots more areas. And having most of them peaceful, or fairly harmless. Just mainly pointless areas for you to explore, with a few side-quests areas littered about.
2. More planets, and only a few of them being central to the plot. Last time the side-quests were too close to the plot for my liking. Its nice to pick them up as you go along, but they were kind of obvious, if you know what I mean.
As for the Ebon Turtle.... Star Wars meets Discworld?!?
