Monk?

Post by Arturcic »

Hi every1. I was wondering: Can I start BG 1 as a Monk if I have BG II and ToB isntalled? Originally, this class is not available, but I wanted to know if u can choose it having the other two parts installed.
Thx.

No, normally not.
You can however install the BG1 Tutu Mod which sort of converts BG1 to the SoA game engine and has all of SoA's features (i.e. Kits, the Monk & Barbarian classes, better resolution etc.). After you install Tutu you will however be unable to play SoA until you restore it (see the readme for more instructions).
For a download location search the sticky thread in the SoA forum.

Come to think of it, isn't there any mod or something alike (not so complicated as importing BGII's engine), that implements the Monk (or, in general, all of the BG II extra classes) for BG 1?
Thx.
