Merchants with money

Post by Krusader »

Besides Creeper and the Mudcrab Merchant, where can I find other merchants with enough money to buy my expensive loot?

It doesn't make much sense that some objects are worth 200,000 if you cannot sell them, does it?

TIA

I think it does. Consider your average merchant who keeps a reasonable inventory and amount of drakes on hand. Why should he or she need more? And when you do show up, of course they're not going to have the cash for it. It's not like Neverines walk in every day, dropping artifacts on the counter for sale. And where's the market for the artifact, too? Demand drives supply.

That said, if you're on the PC, there are numerous mods that increase the amount of drakes available through merchants--some of them blatantly, others as part of an overall system re-do. (For example, SuperAdventurers gives merchants more money, but triples the cost of all training, which makes good sense to me.)
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I think the museum will actually buy an artifact thats worth about 30000....but I dont know who would want to give up there artifacts for an extra 20000.

The Museum in Mournhold won't buy every expensive you have and while they usually can't match the exact price it is still probably the best place to go.

You could always just buy some stuff from the creeper or mudcrab until they have enough money to buy your expensive stuff...That takes along time but it works. Personally I keep everything I have thats over 5000gp. I just use my house and put all the cool weapons on the floor for display. If you do that make sure you find a big house with at least 2-3 large chests. :)
