Say if you put 2 proficiency stars into sling for your ranger, dual to cleric, and then put 1 proficiency star into sling, will you get 3 proficincy stars in sling when you recover your ranger's level?
I know it's a little funny. And thanks in advance for the answer, if you know the answer, that is.

An unusual question
"Through destiny and might, we shall RULE supreme!!"
Actually...
It's a common question. The answer is mostly no & I'll explain.
Fighter with 2* in sling duals to cleric
Takes 1* in sling while fighter is inactive,
will have 2* when fighter becomes active again, 1* is just lost
However, if you hold off while fighter is inactive, but take another star once it's back you'll end up with three stars.

I have given up all lesser evils as inadequate to my purpose.
As far as I know you would end up with 2. I don't recall proficiencies for dualclasses stacking. Not that I dual that often, but it would only make sense that you can't surpass the max amount of proficiency points for the class. And in this case it's 2 for the Ranger.
