Neutral Evil Change

Post by Kurwa »

I didn't know making evil decisions in hell would screw me over by changing my characters alligment. So now I'm stuck with a neutral evil character in a good party. Is it really bad? Will my party leave me? Does anyone know a cheat or a way to hack the game to change my alligment back? I would really like to avoid playing hell over again.

Your party won't leave you, no. And yes, it's awkwardly implemented. It's almost as though the developers suddenly remembered "Oh! We should do alignment changes based on personal choices, because we can!" and decided to drop 'em in. Planescape: Torment implemented that much smoother.

Well...

to answer your question, alignment as such will not cause any of the Bioware NPCs to leave your party. They leave based on reputation, so if you keep up the good work, you should be fine.

Moral consequences are a b****, eh? ;)
I have given up all lesser evils as inadequate to my purpose.

This thread makes an excellent "How-to-screw-up-the-roleplaying-experience" tutorial! Making wrong alignment-based choices just to get the better item is very lame imho.

do good things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

in the game always go the good way you get more exp that way and also there are several places to raise your reputation. also minsk, jahira  and anomen are known to leave so expect to have a fight with them. in your case replace them with korgan for minsk and viconia with anomen, and if u have jahira your an idiot. p.s. no matter your allighnment if you have a good rep npc's will not desert

Molt I would agree that being good you need to take all the good choices, however does that mean that a nuetral should be able to take good and evil choices.

The goal of a neutral character is to keep a balance in all things, altough some people would disagree with me and say that neutral characters are just egoistic people. Cant prove them 100% wrong though.

My point was that as a nuetral character I can only make good choices or I turn evil.

As and Evil character making good choices does not turn me good.

I've removed several posts that have nothing to do with the thread's subject. If you want to discuss other BG2-related matters (such as which profession is best), go to a thread that discusses that. If you want to spam, please go to the SYM (Speak Your Mind) forum. Thanks.

Nephtu, please watch the language. We both know that kids read here, and we get complaints. You already know about Buck's rules--so follow 'em. Thanks.

That won't work with the Baldurdash Fixpack, though.
