arrows

Post by JesterKing »

Arrows, is there a difference? I mean here are these daedric arrows worth TWENTY gold and these chitin ones worth 2, is there a difference at all? Why would glass and ebony arrows be so rare? and they arent worth much, likea steel throwing star is 3 and a ebony is 2000, yet a steel arrow is 1 and a ebony one is 10, thats a messed up ratio if I ahve ever seen one.

and i have completely forgotten my other questions, and will update this post as soon as i can remember... :(

Is the difference in their enhancement capacities? I too have thought those ebony darts and stuff like that seem way too expensive...

First, you're hardly serious about enchanting arrows because they do not stack after enchanting and cannot be enchanted in bulk, only one by one.
There's diference in hitting power (Attack), altough you can see it only in Construction Set (unfortuntely it does not show up for arrows in difference with. say. throwing stars). The difference isn't that great, so i use ebony arrows, darts and stars only as collection items (when you come by them the money usually isn't of any importance). The bow and your PC's strenght, agility and skill are far more important. Stick to silver or glass (unlimited store in Ebonheart) and standart enchanted (spark, viper, flame etc. according to your taste) and you're going to be happy. Plain steel, iron, chitin and bonemold arrows cannot harm some clases of monsters (undead, for example), nonetheless they may serve well enough against NPC and animals - cliff racers including ;)

P.S. I have seen deatailed review of arrows in some post on the board. so you may search (hope the search might be improved while i was away )

the reason the ebony arrows are comparatively cheap is the amount of ebony actually used, only the tip, not the shaft is ebiny i'd guess
