MAME on Windows 98SE

Post by skylinegtr »

Does anyone know if MAME32 can work with Windows 98SE? I tried installing it on my PC running an AMD 700 mhz. I have 30 gig of hard drive space but MAME32 keeps telling me that there's not enough space.

I have had it running once, many years ago on Win98 SE; but unfortunally I can't say what you should do.
But I know it is possible, but could be a different version of MAME or something?

It should work the same as Windows XP but for some reason, MAME 32 is not reading all of my hard drive. I don't have the drive partitioned or anything. MAME 32 runs fine on my laptop with XP. So I've come to the conclusion the problem has to be related to Windows 98SE.

Windows 98se never has problems and how dare you insinuate otherwise... :p .

Just kidding of course. I run MAME32 on three different computers all with Window 98se and have no problems. I would recommend re-intalling the program.
