What weapons are appropriate for backstabbing?
And does welding a large weapon in your off hand penalise your THAc0?
Thanks

You can backstab with all weapons a thief can use.
I'm not sure I understand your second question; by 'large weapon', do you mean a two handed weapon? You can't put one in your 'off-hand'.

He means like a bastard sword compared to a dagger, that's the way from NWN. it doesen't work that way in bg2 (at least not to my knowledge)

You can backstab with all MELEE weapons a thief can use,
so no sneakattack like in NWN. You actually have to be behind the target to make a backstab.
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

I highly recommend Staff of the Ram. I have never done less than 100 damage with my Fighter/Mage/Thief.
