Combat Time

Post by Archon of SFL »

Here’s a game mechanic question for everyone: how much time does a combat action take? Several items in the game only last for a limited time, such as shields and stimulants (120 & 200 seconds respectively), some combat actions will immobilize an enemy for a short duration (force push has a 3 second stun, fear has a 6 second cower, etc.), and some defensive powers last an amazingly short time (20 seconds for force valor).

So, if I queue up a Stun (9 seconds) followed by regular attacks, how many attacks can I make before the Stun wears off (assuming it was successful)?

On a related note, when combat starts, I usually go through each party member and set up a series of actions. Do the actions of all party members happen at the same time?

If i where you, i would do like a combination. Stun/attack/attack/stun. just in case he saves himself. Then while hes stunned the second time you can heal or attack
