Loose ends? quests? *(*spoilers*)*

Post by Bordin_Steelaxe »

The topic that was being kept alive for a few days ago, I don't recall the name of it, was about loose ends, or a "bad storyline".

I want to add one thing to that.
I always wondered who the guy in the beginning sequence was. The guy that appears after Irenicus made the experiments with you. There's a figure running towards the pc's cage and then gets hit by a disintegrate trap. Who was he? I thought him to be a shadow thief, but the figure looks more like a dwarf, so I'm unsure about that.

As the topic says, I was wondering about "quests" in the bridge district and in the waukeens promenade. In the waukeens promenade you will find 2 nobles sitting in a chair. If you talk to them, they will end up "snubbing" you. I wondered if there is a way to get a quest out of them? Then there is a man to the north exit of the waukeens promenade. He asks for the way (I don't recall whereto) and, to my and my partys surprise, Minsc actually answered the guy and explained him the RIGHT direction. Well, the funny thing was that Minsc asked Boo for the direction, so the guy was kinda impressed (and so was I), but leaves without giving me anything, sadly Image (I know this is not a quest, and it can't get a quest, but I just wanted to mention that one, maybe I should have added that to my Minsc topic, but I am too lazy to do that Image)
Then there is the "quest" in the bridge district. At some point of time you will meet 2 nobles (The name of the noble is Lord Feveran), again a man and a woman, and their 2 guards. They're just standing there. When you go to them to talk, they snub you, too. And again, it's the woman who tells the man not to speak with me, pfffff, typically women, always them who have to be the snobbish ones Image Anyway, can you get a quest out of them?? Or are the 2 things i mentioned only added chars to get Amn more "life-like"? There are also a few chars standing around in the different inns who look a lot like npcs who just wait to give you a quest, but don't, maybe they were implemented to give you quests, but then taken out again without removing them? i don't know and I don't care really, just wanted to mention it Image

I think they're just NPCs that are there to make the gaming world more real.
