Small Action Turned Into Huge Problem

Post by Boss842 »

I put a bunch of items into a chest in the Hawkmoth Legion Garrison and planned to come back for them later. I did, only now when I remove them, everyone thinks I'm stealing. I'm the Knight of the Imperial Dragon so I don't want to steal (even if I could afford the $1000000+ fine) because I don't want to be kicked out of the Legion. Is there any way to get around this problem? If no one has the answer, does anyone know the console commands for the following items so I can just manually add them to my inventory?

Dwemer Scarab Schematics
Dwemer Scarab Plans
Dwemer Airship Plans
Skull of L... (the one you need to bring to Balmora to complete the Blades quest)
Helm of Graff the White
Divine Metaphysics
Sirollus Saccus' Hammer
C... (Paladin Sword gained when taking over the Legion)
Dwemer Tube
Directions to C... C... (Blades guy in Balmora)
Package for C... C... (see above)

The most obvious thing to try would be popping the amulet of shados ad "stealing" them. Or, if you've dot Dracondros' Voice mod, you could order all the guards out of the area so that they couldn't see you.

All the console names can be looked up in the CS pretty easily.

Well, if your using a pc you could just press the ~ button then type player-> setsecurity 100 and player-> setsneak 100 then just sneak up to the chest and while pressing control open the chest and take your stuff.

If your on Xbox then good luck to you.

Duh

I feel mildly retarded now. I didn't even think of making myself invisible. Thanks. And as for keeping it in the chest, that's just the way I do things. No reason for it really. As far as the Construction Set goes for looking up the item console commands, I tried that but it was the first time I used the CS and couldn't figure it out. In case the problem comes up again, how would I do that?

Quick Guide to the TES:CS

Open up the CS and press the "Load Master/Plugin Files" button or go via File->Data Files. Then choose the files you want to open, a check will come up in the box next to file name. The Plugin you want to change should be chosen and then the "Set as Active File" should be pressed. Any saved changed will be stored in the Active Plugin File. If only Master Files are chosen you will automatically create a new Plugin when saving, thus not changing the Master File itself.

So in this case choose Morrowind.esm (and Tribunal.esm/Bloodmoon.esm if you have them). After loading the files you can view the entire content of the game. All the lists in the "Object Window" will be filled and from there you can choose anything you want to study by doubleclicking its ID.

In this case your items are spread over several lists; Books, Misc Item, Weapons and Repair Item. So go to those lists and sort the list by name. You should be able to find them now.

Here's some tutorial I dug up too. http://www.elderscrolls.com/index.php?url=/codex/tes_worldbuilding.htm&bg=08

And here's all the codes just in case, blackened:

What rookierookie is trying to say is dont use invisability. If you activate something while your invisible, poeple can see you again. If you have chameleon 100. if you touch something you still stay invisible.
Best Games Of All Time IMO
Fable
Morrowind
Oblivion
Diablo
Diablo II
Star Wars KOTOR
Star Wars KOTOR II

Sometimes I still get caught though. Better chameleon 100 with sneak to be certain.
