stuck in South apartment (PC version)

Post by JaXTob »

I just completed the swoop race and was zapped back to the hideout. I exited the hideout and am in the south apartments, but neither of the 2 exits are working. I'm trying to go to the upper city south, but the exit is just a room. Nothing happens. This happened to me when I was in the North apartments & I had to start another game and just avoid going in there. There is no option on the map display other than return to hideout, which just puts me back in the south apartments where I 1st entered with the map blacked out. I tried to download a patch, but the patch links & lucasarts support links (yoda help, ftp site) aren't up. I can't connect to them. Short of reinstalling the game, anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, that was the 1st thing I tried to do, when I initially installed the game, but the server must be down, because it can't connect to the site. I can't find any other site that might have the patch available for download. They all link to the support site, or the ftp site & they aren't accessable at the moment.

Jax:

A couple things to try (I, too found a similar bug on the PC version).

Sometimes, if you turn around and move OUT of the elevator, it works properly.

If that doesn't work, move your character into the hallway, then save & exit the game. Then re-start the game and try again.

There are a numbr of times throughout the game that something simply stops working, typically after a combat scene that has a preceding and following cutscene. Usually just saving, exiting and re-starting clears it up.
