Imporing save games

Post by Vicious »

I've been playing PST for a couple of weeks (at Clerk's Ward right now), but had to format my computer cause it was completely spammed...

I burned my quick, auto and 'normal' savegames to a cd meaning to import them after formatting, which I did...

The picture of my savegame does appear in the load/save screen, but when I attempt to load the following error occurs:

Runtime error
Program ***GAMEPATH HERE.exe***
Abnormal program termination

Game crashes and after starting again I get the following error:

Assertion:
An Assertion failed in F:\Torment\Source\baldur\InfGame.cpp at line number 2723

Crashes again...
(Can be fixed by clearing temp and cache folders, but THAT doesn't really help...)

Can anyone help me out here, I'd hate to start over.... (yet)

Thnx...
Ignusss hearssss you....

Did you install any game patches that you didn't have on your computer previously, like the official 1.1 patch and/or the Fix Pack?

I would reinstall Torment and try the save game with an unpatched game, then again with the 1.1 patch installed and finally with both the 1.1 patch and the unofficial Fix Pack.

Also, Platter released a new version of his Fix Pack recently and I'm not sure if newer versions are backwards compatible.
