Does anyone know how many items the following containers will hold:
Bag of Holding
Ammo Pouch
Gem Bag
Scroll Case
I found out that the Potion Bag will hold 100 potions, but am unsure how much crap I can stuff in the others before I start getting the "Container is Full" message.

I find it hard to imagine that the designers would have given every item a height, width and depth, and wrote an algorithm that arranges items in your bag and calculates if another one still fits in...Originally posted by cgardenh:

You can get two Bags of Holding: one is in the Asylum and the other can be bought from Lazarus Librarus in Saradush.
I don't think the Bag of Holding computes volume or weight (Big Metal Unit fits!); I think it will take any item with a maximum capacity because I had a bunch of Potions of Extra Healing and some arrows which filled the thing up. I was just wondering how much stuff I could cram in it.

In PnP AD&D, the bags of holding did have an interior volume listed. In BG2, I believe it is a strict number of items, regardless of weight/size.
Where do you find potion bags and ammo pouches?
