Druid spells combined with Sorceror/Mage spells are quite deadly. Druids and Sorcerors make better melee fighters than a Mage ever wishes to be.
Area effect spells like grease, web, spike growth, spiked stones and stinking cloud are quite effective and deadly when used together.

I've never used spiked growth and spiked stones before, are they actually any good? Doing upto 8 damage and perhaps reducing movement rates never sounded too great so I didn't bother, just Thorn Sprayed the advancing enemy instead.

spike growth and spiked stones not only reduce there speed to half I think but together can take off nice chunks every round while you pile in a couple fireballs

Yes I agree with JJ, together they are work wonders, stack s them with web, entangle or grease and you can effect them for multiple rounds.

I love spike growth and entangle. Works great in bringing down a bunch of goblins or orges. Especially while you sit back launching arrows, bolts and throwing axes
