Holding back levels/Character Class

Post by kingofthenet »

I was wondering what "The Masters Of KotOR" think on holding back levels on Taris so when then become a Jedi they can gain more levels in that area is it possible to finish all quests; ie:Beating Starkiller in the arena with a fourth or fifth level character? Also a lot of people seem to feel that you should either become a Soldier/Jedi Gardian or Schoundrel/Jedi Consouler and they do not like the Scout/Sentinel combo witch I tend to prefer. Any thoughts?

I would only hold a couple of levels back. I have heard of people beating Bendak with a Level 2-3 character, so just work at it if you really want to complete that "quest". I personally don't like holding back levels, it bores me a bit. I don't really see a massive point to it, especially when you'll be plenty powerful enough by the end of the game anyway.

As for different combinations, don't let anyone tell you anything different than what you prefer. Its all bullsh!t. Look at the section you're in, this is a ROLE-PLAYING game. If you're happy playing a certain role with certain classes, go for it. IMO, looking for best build EVER is a bit pathetic. An interesting excercise perhaps, but not one I would be able to play the game with.

holding back levels

Beating Bendak at level 2 is very possible; I've done it three times, and others have said they've done it, too. You just have to be careful about it. We've had at least one whole thread dedicated to the beating of Bendak at level 2. But yes, if you can get off Taris at level 2, you get mad Jedi power points to spend when you become a Jedi.

As for the whole class-decision making, I don't care what other people think. I'm usually a Guardian (or whichever has the blue lightsaber) because I want the fast feats progression, and I've been the Guardian with all three classes and had no trouble playing.
General: "Those aren't ideas; those are special effects."
Michael Bay: "I don't understand the difference."
