Help - First Timer - Attribute Question

Post by Talonsharp »

This is my first time playing through the game, and I'll probably only do it once as KOTOR II is coming out. A friend finally convinced me to play. I thought I'd do something a bit different and assumed my stats would be set again when I became a Jedi. I assumed wrong it seems.

Strenght: 10
Dexterity: 18
Constitution: 10
Intelligence: 10
Wisdom: 10
Charisma: 14

I've since put 2 more points into Dexterity.

My character is a level 8 Scout / 3 Sentinel.

I'm seriously thinking about recreating. I think I have the worst of both worlds, and didn't know you could save your levels till you became a Jedi.

I'm not that strong, though I never miss hardly. I do have nice skills, but I can switch out as needed. And I don't have FP.

I mainly took Dex hoping my saving throws would be high enough that I'd never get hit or have to worry about it, and that I'd always hit so on the theory I'd do more damage in the long run and never worry about dying. That doesn't seem to be the case.

Any advice? I am currently on Tattoine (First Planet after becoming a Jedi), and not crazy about starting all over. Is there an editor out there or something I can skew my stat points to where they should be and change levels that won't mess my game up. Or should I start over...

I'm guessing my Dex theory of maxing it out isn't a very good idea anymore, unless any of you know anything different. Also, is there any way to get a double bladed lightsaber early on? Other then Bastila's? Or after reading the list of weapons it seems I get one from a Dark Jedi on Tattoine.

Advice wanted, and soon please!

Well I'm not sure about an editor, but you can use console codes to change your levels. Would take a while though, and you can only change the numerical values I think. So there is no changing what you level up in. It sucks, but the only real way to re-build your character is to start again I'm afraid.

As for double-bladed light-sabers, you can (as with extra-single blades) only find them on the bodies of Dark Jedi, and then just mess about with crystals.

Actually...

There is an editor out there. I took my guy down to a level 5 and am trying out that gch character from a thread I read. I am liking this guy... its what I wanted in the first place, mostly the persuade skill with enough force pts/feats to have fun with it, but yet not be too weak in melee.

The game is going more smoothly now. I don't feel like such a wuss...
