Has anyone found a use for this item, except for suicide?
I discovered (the hard way) that blowing this curious horn not only harms and freezes enemies, but also your own party including he who blows it.
I notice that it cannot be sold (price = 0).
This seems appropriate. Or am I missing something?

I see it as the perfect "surround" spell, when you're in the middle of badly wounded but dangerous foes who won't leave you sufficient time to cast anything else. Provided your caster is healthy, they could take out a lot of the opposition in such a situation.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
I agrre with fable and have something to add: when I fought Jonny just before hell he had, IIRC, absoluste immunity. that was after i got him to near death, of course. tried spells tried weapons tried all - didn't work, but then!!! tried horn of blasting... killed him, and I'm like..."wow, bye bye Jonny"
Tigerin, just another loyal paladin in the league of divinity!
Funny ... only now do I realize I never used the Horn of Blasting, and I usually picked it up in Chapter 2! (shows how much I needed it)
Here's a suggestion after going through the posts: try casting a silence/deafness spell on your party members. Maybe they won't be affected by the sonic blast then?
