Undead summons

Post by lompo »

Does anibody knows which are the best kind of summons that you can get with summoning undead spells?
At the moment (my cleric is a 11th lev.) he is summoning Zombie lords and Greater Boneguards, I made some check raising his lev. up to 25 but the summons remains the same.
Do I have already reached the top for these summons, or they are going to get better? And if yes when (which lev.) and/or where (HOF mode?).
In DK I saw that exist Apocalictic Boneguard, Festering drawned and Great/King Mummies and that these beast and you were supposed to them at higher lev. in the old version of the game.
I have the European version of IWD2 (already patched).

Well in patched version... there is limits that prevents you from getting all good undeads.. well only thing that i can get is bonequards and zombie lords.. and my cleric is at level 28 now..

Read in another forum that patch 2.01 capped the level of the summoned undead at 10, so you can't get better undead than the Zombie lords and Greater boneguard.
So no chance to get the awesome undead I read of, unless there is some way to bypass that (maybe Useunfriendly job?).

I suppose this is a good reason to take Gate etc. and Prot. Evil.

As a side issue, Druids can summon elementals that are hostile, but can't cast Prot. from Evil? That is just stupid. You can summon powerful monsters, but not protect yourself from them?

Unfair indeed.... You can use your cleric's Protection from Evil, though.
