Loosing attributes for no reason ?

So i just decided to play the game trough once again.
During the Lord FireKhrag (spelling?) i lost 1-3 points of Charisma between the Samia encounter til the Dragon encounter (I did it a couple of times).
I kept that weird helmet on, that you need to see the guardian. That's the reason?
I was actually like 5-6 hours beyond that point when i realised i had lost alot of charisma permanently. I did a few loads and pinpointed the problem to just before the dragon encounter, like i said. And now i have to do all again =(?

Also I do not get the nice music played anymore, while romancing and talking to Aerie, bug or they removed that in a newer patch ?
Thankful for answers =)

Such Things are the reason i load like everytime i get drained etc, instead of restore. I mean the game seems to be screwed up sometimes, I remember severeral times loosing atributes permanently without notice. Thus making me so careful .

You must have been playing with the Rod of Terror. It drains your charisma.

Yup, its cursed, adjust charisma on its old level with SK to make things right if u dont want to load a previous game where youll have to do quests you have allready finished!

Ah thanks guys. I had no Idea=)
That was exactly what i was doing. Must have missed the drains charisma in the description hehe. Kinda embarissing =)
