PlanetarXGreater Elemental

Post by Delacroix »

About some last disagreement(this should be a wrong word for the case, sorry my english is terrible)

I prefer the Planetar, here are the points:
- As all of you know Wizards spells are better than Cleric/Druids.(observation)
-The Planetar spell last for a longer time
-Planetar have a long list of spells from the Cleric type so it is good for a wizard summon; and the Elemental have 1 spell cast(you can summom a planetar to cast restoration in your group) and he can cast Heal in herself.
-The elemental is random(I know is wrong), aleatory, so you can for bad luck summon a fire prince elemental to fight against fire elementals or fire giants, that means, they are fire resistance and you waste your spell.
-Planetar fight better.

let me see what you think...
[Sorry about my English]

Ps: I'm "Ivan Cavallazzi".

Lurker(0.50). : )

I agree. I'd even go as far to say that the Planetar is greater than the cleric/druid's Deva.

The Deva seemed like a toned down version IMO.

On the other hand, you can only summon one planetar at a time, vs multiple elementals.

Ideally, they are equally as good for different situations. On the whole though, I find the Planetar a greater asset to my little war possie ;)
Cartoon Law III
Any body passing through solid matter will leave a perforation conforming to its perimeter. Also called the silhouette of passage, this phenomenon is the speciality of victims of directed-pressure explosions and of reckless cowards who are so eager to escape that they exit directly through the wall of a house, leaving a cookie-cutout-perfect hole. The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.

Greater Elemental summoning is clearly weaker, especially if you get Chan, with his Blade Barrier, that rips half your team...

Deva's just suck

Planetars kick ass and have SWEET AI - they will cast resoration and healing on your party members when they need it, and will heal themselves

G-Elem summoning is only a 1/3 chance of being better than planetar. Sunnis, prince of earth, has stoneskin and more hitpoints than you need (never seen him die - only unsummoned) and earthquake rocks when there are alot of high level things you need to crowd control (fire giants).

The fire prince doesnt do enough damage, and chan has a nasty habit of turning my summons against me with blade barrier, so sunnis is easily the best, unless you are beating back hordes of low levels (Sendai's enclave) then chan is good because the BB will kill them all very quickly.

If you cast Project Image, the image can summon as many as you have memorized. At least, a sorcerer can, don't know about wizards.

Oh, definately Dark Planetars. A single one cleared Bohdi's lair by itself in Chapter 6.
