Scar AWOL

Post by The Great Hairy »

Gidday all,

I just returned to the Flaming Fist HQ last night, with the intension of doing the first of Scar's quests (the Seven Suns). I got the quest at the start of Chapter 5, then headed off to do all the ToSC quests.

However Scar is not around! He seems to have vanished from the Flaming Fist HQ completely. I came back in daytime and nighttime, checked the basement and both the ground and first levels - he's missing.

At the start of Chapter 5 I did do pretty much everything in Baldur's Gate - including getting the Iron Throne quest from Duke Eltan (but I have not done anything with this quest as yet).

Any idea where Scar may have gone? Do I need to console him back in? (If so, anyone know how to do this?) Did talking with Duke Eltan before completing Scar's quests stuff everything up?

Any help appreciated!
Cheers,
TGHO

I had the same problem, probably because I spoke with Eltan. Now to solve this, I clua'd in Scar, spoke with him (as if I was entering BG for the first time) then he disapeared and quickly reapeared (ithink) then I spoke with him again before he walked out, then said I'd done both his quests and got my reward.

It was damn annoying, but ohwell.

Ah, by the nostrils of Gzortch! Drat. I'll have to finish off his other quest, and then come back to CLUA him in. I'm assuming that his code is 'Scar', yeah?

(spoilers, but it explains the disappearance of Scar)

From the moment Duke Eltan gives you the quest to spy in the Iron Throne quarters, the Iron Throne will send two assassins to kill Scar.

I knew that Scar got assassinated, but I didn't realise that it happened so quickly! I CLUA'ed Scar in, but he only let me sort out his first quest. He gave me his second, but I couldn't get him to give me the reward for completing the second quest.

Drat and bother. Oh, well, never mind!

Cheers all,

Hey,

Can't you use search before creating new threads ?
