Problem with old savegames in new DVD-Version

Post by Oden »

I had the 5 CD Version of Baldur's Gate (with latest patch installed) and used BG_Edit 2.1 to remove the XP Cap and played it through. My characters had over 120000 xp each.
When I try to "import" my old savegames into the new BG+TotS DVD-version (with Bg_Edit features installed), all my characters XPs are reduced to 89000, but can then be raised again.

Does anybody know how I can use my old savegames without the xp being reduced?

(BTW: if I import a character with higher xp (e.g. 300000) and start a new game, then save and load again, the xp remains at its old value; so it has to be a problem with the savegames from the older version)

Only thing i can come up with is that the XP cap remover doesnt work with your DVD version. The only solution I have is use gatekeeper en level all your chars one by one to their old level!
