Greetings. I have Trueflame itself but I think I screwed up being able to have it enchanted with the flame. Before I realized that I was at the part where I actually have it made and enchanted I had already explored and kilt every creature in the shrines beneath the plaza. Including, I would guess the big dremora guy that has the tar. I don't believe he had it on him when I kilt him. Not that I would realize what it was at the time anyways.
Is there any other way to get the ghosts notes so the orc can do the enchanting or did I totally blow it? The dwemer books are not what the orc wants and killing the ghost produced no notes.
By the way, this is on XBox so no way to get the guy to respawn. My previous save was so much earlier on that I really don't want to go back that far. Guess I would rather just continue with the sword the way it is.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Read the walkthrough here.
You are NOT SUPPOSED TO KILL THE GHOST (although I almost shot him the first time). The dwemer books should be in Bamz-Amschend.

The evil nature of GameBanshee revealed below!
GameBanshee sells Xandax to make ends meet
Then, as if that was not enough, they decide to get rid of me via sweepstakes as well

Yes, but..
Thank you for responding but, yes, I know you are not supposed to kill him.
The tar he needs to enchant your Trueflame is on a Dremora Lord in the one shrine down there. Unfortunately I had already killed him (the Dremora Lord)along with every other thing that moved down there before I knew I needed him to drop the tar. The ghost hadn't even appeared at that point in the quest. Now I need it and of course it ain't there no mo'.
I mentioned killing the ghost only after I knew I was screwed and I thought I would take a chance on him having some notes on him I could take back to the orc and have him enchant it instead.
Update: I bit the bullet and went to save point way, way back. I have to do the entire Tribunal quest again. sigh. I found that unfortunately you cannot finish the quest without Trueflame "flaming". Bummer. Alexadriafilapopolous or whatever tells you to go get it enchanted. I felt like just killing her and all her stinkin' body guards right then and there. Now THAT would be satisfying. Hehye

All is not lost - there is another bottle, and you don't have to kill the dremora lord to get it. Norenen-Dur, the Wailing Delve. I'm sorry for taking so long to reply, as you now say you've gone back to your old save.
The wailing delve is in the same ruins, and the bottle is near the base of the waterfall. I attach a picture taken from the construction set for reference.
Best of luck.

If pro is the opposite of con, is Congress the opposite of progress? - Thanks to Blake for the avatar!
Great!
Dark Master, thank you!!
There were actually two bottles of tar down there. I didn't even know the delve was there. Wow, what a relief.
I still have the original save point. I use about 5 or 6 saves just for staffu's like the one I pulled. Only reason I had such a lapse in time from one save to the other is that I was really getting into the quest and just kept going without thinking of saving.
Again, thanks bud. Yer a lifesaver. I was redoing the quest last night and realized how far I really had to go again and kept thinking, I really dont want to do this all over again. Now I don't have to, thanks to you.
