Project: Dungeon Crawl (for 3.5 Dungeon Crawl Inc. stats, FR insertions as well)
Well, as per Rob-hin's advisory, I have placed a thread based on the creation of stats for Kayless' Dungeon Crawl Incorporated characters in here.
Note: Whether this fits best in here or the Forgotten Realms forum is debatable.
The framework is an attempt to cut down on the eyestrain for reading normal character stat blocks. Anyways, here's everyone's favorite Malarite from DCI, Remus!
Remus the Bloody (Medium Humanoid [Human, Shapechanger] )
Chaotic Evil Human Werewolf Ranger 3/ Barbarian 3 (ECL: 9)
Humanoid Form:
Hit Dice: 3d8+12 plus 3d12+12 plus 2d8+12 (82 HP)
Initiative: +3
Speed: 40 feet (8 squares)
Armor Class: 18 (+2 Natural, +3 Dexterity, +3 Leather armor) Touch 10, Flat-footed 15
Base Attack/Grapple: +6/+10 (+12 grapple while raging)
Attacks: Claw bracer +9/+4 melee (1d4+6/19-20x2) plus claw bracer +9(1d4+3/19-20x2)
Abilities:
18 Strength
16 Dexterity
18 Constitution
10 Intelligence
10 Wisdom
8 Charisma
Saves: Fortitude +10, Reflex +7, Will +2
Skills and feats: Intimidate +2, Listen +8, Spot +8, Survival +10 (+14 when tracking by scent), Wilderness Lore +10; Endurance, Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Claw bracer), Power Attack, Track, Weapon Focus (Claw bracer)
Special Attacks: Rage 1/day
Special Qualities: Alternate form, combat style (2 weapons), favored enemy humans (+2), wolf empathy, low-light vision, scent
Equipment: 2 Claw bracers, Masterwork leather armor
Challenge Rating: 9
Very nice,
who are you going to create next?
I was actually thinking of concentrating on Remus if werewolf/hybrid form when I get a chance. After that, I might likely do Durnkrag or Teagan, hopefully 'Krag in order to set up a pattern.
Don't forget, though, that my weekly schedule may not really permit for much progress. Fridays may be the only day of the week that I can update this.

I think I'll start working on Teagan.
She's a no noncense cleric of Lolth. I'm gonna have me some fun with her.
Word of causion, I'm a bit busy recently with school, december stuff and making my own quest (which needs to be done to soon unfortunately) so don't expect it done by tomorrow.

Oh. Honestly, I was expecting this to be me doing all of the character statistics, and that you and Kayless would be my advisors.
If I was mistaken, this would be a case where I wouldn't totally mind being proven wrong. If you still want me to do the brunt of the assignment, I can do that.
The characters that seem to fill my creative aspect are Remus, Teagan, and Durnkrag. They seem to be the characters that may have the most developed gameplay & combat aspects.

Drat, now I'm going to go and read the archives all again!! Curse you Kayless, curse you!!!

I believe Krag mentions being a paladin/fighter multi-class in the second issue.
I can relate.

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Well, I fixed (at least I think so) Remus' hit dice calculations, thanks to my trusty ol' Monster Manual.
Anyways, here's Remus' more dangerous side.
Aren't his ability scores a bit high?
Well, lycanthropes do have changes in ability scores when they change shape. Besides, Werebears get +16 to Strength when they enter hybrid form as well +2 Dexterity and +8 Constitution!
Anyways, that's how his stats should look in actual Werewolf form.

I didn't realise a werewolf had such high racial modifiers.
I'd give him some higher skill points in intimidate. He's a werewolf after all. Problem with rules is that you can't add points as you feel. That's up to the DM.
How about the Endurance and Die hard feats? A stone Gargoyle landed on his head, he lived and stayed concious so it seems logical. Perhaps instead of Power attack. (I only use power attack with 2 handed weapons for the high bonus)

Possibly, except that to have Diehard, he needs to have the Great Fortitude feat. I'm not sure about Endurance, so I'll likely have to invest in a copy of the Player's Handbook.
On a second note, don't forget that the way Kayless does the comics is not entirely serious, so how stuff like the gargoyle statue incident could really be interpreted by a professional DM is very debatable.

Unfortunately, I'm doing these stats in 3.5, so any changes between editions may affect the way some things work, particularly feats.
